Retirement Party for Michael J. (Mike) Hoke, Past President at Abaris Training

May 16th, 2022 by

After 34 years of leadership, Mike Hoke retired from Abaris on 31 December 2021, after completing the sale of the company to Michelle and Paul Dziedzic that past July.  Because of the COVID-19 surge in the first part 2022, Mike’s retirement party was rescheduled for 29 April of this year, and it was a big hit!

The Abaris staff, along with help from Mike’s wife Janice and son’s, Bryan and Charlie Hoke, put together the event at the Abaris Training facility in Reno, NV.  The party was live streamed on Facebook and included numerous testimonials to Mike’s success (and long-time friendships/partnerships) that he had maintained throughout his career.

Food was catered by Paisan’s Old World Deli, a local favorite of Mike’s, and a small beverage bar with beer, wine, soda, and water was assembled and staffed by friends of the Abaris Team.  The party started in the afternoon and went on through the evening. At one point, the group separated into smaller groups and competed for prizes playing “Mike Hoke Trivia,” A game where questions about Mike’s personal, aviation, and Abaris experiences    were asked, and the groups submitted answers in hopes of winning.

The party was a great success, as everyone cheered for Mike and Janice to enjoy their retirement and spend more time with their kids and grandson, Calvin.  Join us in wishing them the best in their new ventures!
