Abaris Announces a Change in Ownership, Maintains Leadership

August 3rd, 2021 by

Abaris Training Resources, Inc. (Reno, Nevada) announces a change in company ownership.  On 29 July 2021, Michael J. Hoke transferred ownership to Michelle and Paul Dziedzic who intend to work with Hoke to transition the business between now and the end of the calendar year.

In a statement released on 30 July, Hoke declared “After starting with Bill Murphy at the original Abaris Training in 1987, and running the company full-time since 1991, ramping up from about 75 students per year to approximately 2,000 per year now, I am pleased, at age 73, to turn over the management of Abaris to my accountant of over 10 years, Michelle Dziedzic, and her husband Paul.  Very little will change initially, but it is time to get someone younger with fresh ideas in place to help this company grow and diversify.  There are lots of new technologies Abaris Training plans to pursue in the future, including composite additive manufacturing, more thermoplastic technologies, and many others.  It has been a real pleasure building up this company, and most of all I have enjoyed all the interesting and intelligent people I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with over the last 34 years.  The best to them all, and I plan on seeing many of them at CAMX this year!”

In a statement released internally to all staff members, Michelle Dziedzic wrote “Mike has agreed to support, counsel and be here physically until the end of the year. We are very grateful for this as we know how valuable a resource he is and will continue to be to us. We expect after that period, we can still reach out to him with any lingering questions or concerns. The transition will evolve slowly but we do have exciting new ideas and respectfully appreciate all input from our valued employees.”

The Abaris team is sad to see Mike retire but are enthusiastic about new beginnings and opportunities for future growth.  The staff continue their commitment to provide the best composite training and services, as always, to industry.

Feel free to drop Michael an email to send him cheers and good wishes at mjh@abaris.com, as well as congratulations to Michelle and Paul. They reached at Michelle@abaris.com and Paul@abaris.com respectively.
